Curious about university studies abroad? Apply for the EGE Foundation's International Scholarship!
We are delighted to recommend the Erik and Göran Ennerfelt Foundation's international scholarship for university studies! The scholarship is awarded for studies with a focus on international understanding at the undergraduate and master's levels, and it's perfect for a UWC alumnus or any other university applicant who is curious about exploring other cultures and deepening their understanding in an international context.
For many years, UWC Sweden has received financial support from the Erik and Göran Ennerfelt (EGE) Foundation for Swedish Youth's International Studies, aimed at encouraging and supporting studies abroad that develop Swedish youth's understanding of international affairs. The foundation's generosity has been behind several UWC scholarships, enabling us to send students to institutions such as UWC Mahindra College and Waterford Kamhlaba United World College. Now, we want to inform you about their International Scholarship for university studies abroad, an opportunity to extend the international experience or to partake in it for the first time.
Every year, the EGE Foundation awards approximately 10 scholarships ranging from 50 000 to 100 000 SEK to college and university studies abroad. The scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for both UWC alumni and Swedish high school students who are curious about broadening their international understanding in an international context during university.
Over the years, many Swedish UWC alumni have received support from the EGE Foundation for studies in countries such as the USA, the UK, and the Netherlands.
To apply for the scholarship, the following conditions must be met:
- Studies should last at least one semester abroad.
- The studies should lead to a degree from a Swedish or international institution at the undergraduate or master's level and can cover a wide range of fields, including global issues related to sustainability, peace and conflict studies, international relations, humanities, economics, social sciences, environmental studies, technology, natural sciences, and more.
- The degree is expected to lead to work where an understanding of international relations is crucial and where the goal is to improve people's living conditions.
- The scholarship recipient should be a Swedish citizen between 18 and 28 years old.
Seize the opportunity to receive financial support with this scholarship. If you have previously attended a UWC school, please mention your experience and which UWC school you attended in your application. The EGE Foundation is more than happy to receive applications from UWC alumni, and we are also grateful for all they have done for us.
