Almost all students who are admitted to UWC are admitted through a National Committee, which selects students based on their aptitude, potential, and merit. National Committees also promote UWC in their respective countries, raise and manage funds for scholarships, support students before, during and after their time in college, and organize networking events for UWC alumni. The national committee system is perhaps unique to UWC. 

National Committees exist in over 155 different countries. Although each committee works quite independently within their respective national contexts, all are overseen by the UWC International Board and its secretariat at the International Office in London.

If you are not from Sweden or have a closer connection to another country, chances are that they also have a UWC National Committee, in which case they would be better able to advise you and process your application than UWC Sweden could.
